Instructor Todd WalkerRetired special education teacher and life-long woodsman, Todd Walker, M.Ed, is the creator of the popular blog site, Survival Sherpa, and the author of over 600 articles. He grew up on his rural family farm hunting, fishing, camping where he fell in love with the woods and waterways of Georgia.

In 1983, Todd directed his first youth camp in Tennessee, followed by years of summer camps in Georgia, and Siberia (Russia). He continues to share his passion for learning, preparedness, and survival with students of all ages. Hundreds of middle and high school students have discovered a new respect and relationship with nature and all she provides, even in our modern society.

Todd has had the good fortune of learning many primitive skills from Scott Jones, Ben Kirkland, Mark Warren, Doug Meyer, and many other knowledgeable practitioners. Always the student, he continues to learn from students and instructors alike.

Todd is also in the process of building his second traditional log cabin, by hand!
